Quick Before it Melts

WiN: Paper Bag Records’ PBR10 Tickets, Vinyl + More!

by  |  August 21, 2012  |  20 Comments

You didn’t notice, because we didn’t make a big deal about it, but back in July, Quick before It Melts turned 6.  It was a day just like any other, really, didn’t want anyone to make a fuss, you know?

Well, it turns out, we’re making a bit of a fuss now.  And by we, I mean Quick Before It Melts and Paper Bag Records, who is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year with a massive three-day concert series at Toronto’s Great Hall.  The shows are on September 27 (Elliott BROOD & friends, Born Ruffians, Woodhands, and The Acorn); September 28 (The Rural Alberta Advantage, Cuff the Duke, PS I Love You, and Slim Twig); and September 29 (Austra, You Say Party, Young Galaxy, and The Luyas).

Thanks to our pals at Paper Bag, we have an incredible prize pack to give away that includes:

  • • A pair of tickets to the Thursday, September 27 Concert with Elliott BROOD & friends, Born Ruffians, Woodhands, and The Acorn
  • • A vinyl copy of PS I Love You’s Death Dreams, CFCF’s Exercises, Elliott BROOD’s Days Into Years, and Slim Twig’s Contempt!, along with the PS I Love You/Diamond Rings 7″ Leftovers (that’s four vinyl LPs and a 7″!)
  • • A PBR10 commemorative t-shirt
  • • A PBR10 hand silk-screened commemorative poster

Happy birthday, indeed!

So how do you get your chance to win this prize pack?  Good question, and you’ll be happy to know it’s pretty easy.  Head over to the Quick Before It Melts Facebook Page, and look for any status update, video link, or photo that promotes the PBR10 + QBiM06 contest from now until August 31st (there will be at least one a day!), Like it and/or Share it, and your name will be entered in the contest.  For every Like and Share you make, your name gets thrown in the hat again, so the more you Like or Share, the more chances you’ll have to win (be sure that your privacy settings will allow us to get in touch with you after the contest to let you know that you’ve won).  The first post on the Facebook page is already up, so get going!

Of course, you could always forgo playing games of chance and just reach out to the Paper Bag Records Online Store and score yourself tickets to the concert series the traditional way, too!
