EXCLUSiVE ViDEO: PS I Love You “Little Spoon”

by  |  November 1, 2010

In just a matter of days, Matt from i(heart)music will publish the results of his annual Hottest Bands in Canada poll, and you can bet your bottom dollar that Kingston’s  PS I Love You is going to be featured prominently there.  It has been a stellar year for the duo of Paul Saulnier (on guitars and vocals) and Benjamin Nelson (on drums), filled with Pitchfork praise and successful cross-country touring.

Paper Bag Records, PS I Love You’s label, recently asked Southern Souls to document the band’s homecoming of sorts, filming them playing live in and around their hometown of Kingston, ON.  The first track from The Kingston Sessions, “Butterflies & Boners” premiered on Pitchfork two weeks ago, while the second–“Scattered”–showed up over on Herohill last Monday.  QBiM is happy to be presenting part 3, a live version of “Little Spoon”, one of my favourite songs off PS I Love You’s debut LP, Meet Me At The Muster Station.  Last month we called …Muster Station “a confident, colossal-sounding record”, and even when it’s just stripped back to the versions in this video series, the songs lose none of their potency.  See for yourself:
