Last November’s Bronze EP marked the first time siblings Vivek and Shamik Shraya, both well-established artists in their own right, made music together under the Too Attached banner. Their years growing up together, in close proximity, sharing stories, experiences, and family informed the ease with which Vivek’s silken voice sat in the pocket of Shamik’s beats.
Releasing the EP seems to have sparked a musical fire in the Sharyas: Vivek recently released “Girl It’s Your Time”, her first solo music in five years, as well as “Getalife”, a bonus single from Too Attached’s EP sessions. The song bounces on the tightest of beats and glides on slick, sexy R&B grooves. Its iridescent synths and sitar samples sparkle like jewels, guaranteeing “Getalife” will be the showstopper when Too Attached take to the stage for their first live performance on April 29 at Lee’s Palace in Toronto (supporting another synth pop duo, LAL).Tags: Too Attached
