Who hasn’t imagined their normal, daily existence–wake up, work/school, home, eat, sleep, repeat–as the stuff of reckless abandon, wild adventure, and celebrity excess? It’s the stuff daydreams are made of, but no one’s been able to bring those dreams to life quite the way Bad Channels have with “Stars”.
Jess Gierusz voice, only slightly louder than a breathy whisper, has a restraint and softness, but her delivery is full of passion and emotion. It floats and twists in and out of the complex musical layers Nick Grottick lays down before her, a collage of sounds and influences. It’s the perfect soundtrack for late-night subway hopping, belly-button staring contests, and just lying back in the grass and making up stories about the clouds.Tags: Bad Channels
