MUSIC NOTES >> Introducing…

WHITNEY PEA

by  |  March 2, 2016

Whitney Pea

After listening to Whitney Pea‘s playful, homespun melodies, you’ll not be surprised to find out she and her husband live on an organic farm in Southern Ontario. Pea’s music sounds freshly sprung from the earth, a spiritual connection between human emotion and the natural world.

The follow-up to her sophomore album, 2014’s All a Feeling, is just about ready for harvesting. Full Bloom will officially arrive next month, but Pea recently shared a sneak peek. Pea recorded “Yellow Finches” in a barn-turned-recording studio with producer Joe Lapinski. The new song, a bouncing, sunny delight, further highlights Pea’s earthy musical charms, and is sure to warm your senses on a blustering cold winter’s day.
