BOAT CULTURE

by  |  June 17, 2015  |  9 Comments

The choppy waters of Canada’s vast musical ocean can be a bumpy ride for young bands to navigate. Everyone out there hopes that the tiny beacons they’re sending out will attract new audiences and fans to their co-ordiantes, but it’s not always easy having your signal stand out amid all the others.

The folks in Boat Culture know this reality all too well. leaving their previous projects (including QBiM favourites Couriers and Baby Please) in dry dock, Boat Culture are embarking on a new journey with a new EP, Half Old, and a renewed feeling of hopefulness for the future. That spirit of expectation is abundantly clear on this effervescent, effusively sunny release. Melodic, memorable, and sending out a clear message that they’re here and ready to drop anchor, Half Old is your invitation to climb aboard and fall in love with Boat Culture. They’re expecting you.

We know return you to your regularly scheduled, nautical metaphor-free music enjoyment.
