This month, Quick Before It Melts celebrates 10 years of music blogging and writing by honouring 10 Canadian artists who’ve had the greatest impact and influence on Quick Before It Melts over the last 10 years, and each in their own way have left their mark on our website and our soul. We’re calling this special series of posts 10/10.
Though he’s a man of few words in interviews, Matt LeGroulx certainly knows how to stuff as many of them as possible into his abstruse lyrics and fractured pop songs. Whether as Expwy, High Five, as himself, or part of Galaxius Mons, Chairs and countless other musical projects LeGroulx has his hand in, he ensures little time lapses between one release and the next, always offering up tasty musical nuggets to satisfy discerning ears and minds. LeGroulx has recently started a podcast called …The Food of Love that marries his two passions (cooking and making music) into one product that’s as compelling as any album in his catalogue. In that same spirit, we’ve spiced up our recent 10/10 interview with LeGroulx by interspersing a selection of our favourite songs from his myriad recordings with his few, choice words. For more, you can check out an Q+A we did with LeGroulx back in the day.
