Songs: 2012 Part 2

December 18, 2012  |  Published in LiSTEN  |  2 Comments

Welcome back to the second installment of the songs that rocked my world in 2012.  A small re-cap for those of you who missed out on yesterday’s post: without any fanfare, ranking or listing, I’m giving you the 75 songs, split into five collections of 15 songs each, that soundtracked the year for me.  There will be a post a day this week from Monday to Friday (You can click back to Monday’s post to get the first part) , and you can collection them all to get a pretty awesome compilation that I think is a good summation of the last 12 months.  To download a .zip file with today’s set of music, click the Part 2 Link below.  Enjoy!

Silkken Laumann “House of Common Problems” • The Folk “Rules of Youth” • Venus Sans Fur “Spring Relents Nothing” • Grimes “Genesis” • Grounders ” Grand Prize Drawl” • Islands “This Is Not a Song” • Memoryhouse “The Kids Were Wrong” • Le Roi Crocodile “Youth Decay” • Expwy “Warm and Stricken by Lashes” • Cuff The Duke “Side By Side” • The Dirty Nil “Cinnamon” • Slim Twig “Priscilla” • Snowblink “Black and White Mountains” • Said The Whale “We Are 1980″ • Two Hours Traffic “Amour Than Amis”

I’m getting an error message too. It says “Permission Denied. ‘Genesis’ by Grimes can be downloaded from one of these fine retailers” and then there is a link to the album on Amazon. Maybe because I’m trying to access it from the US? Here is the url for my error message: http://www.mediafire.com/error.php?errno=388&quickkey=g4q6cguvbozvcsb

Seems like my chosen storage service has marked these .zip folders as copyrighted material and not allowing for downloads. I’ll see if I can’t remedy this ASAP.
